Policy Updates from the 2021 QPP Final Rule

In September 2020 we brought you our “Looking Ahead” webinar on the 2021 Quality Payment Program (QPP) Proposed Rule. With the rule finalized in December, we are now pleased to bring you a review of policy updates from the 2021 QPP Final Rule.

Current or prospective participants in Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Alternative Payment Models (APM), such as Medicare Shared Savings Program’s Accountable Care Organizations (ACO), are strongly encouraged to attend this webinar to learn more about the new APM Performance Pathway (APP). This new pathway is a significant change by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and has implications for data collection, submission, and scoring.

Attendees will also learn about minor adjustments to traditional group or individual MIPS participation and the implementation of MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs) beginning in 2022.
