
Veteran's Affairs Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record pilot expansion
The Department of Veteran's Affairs announced an expansion of its Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER) program on Thursday. Six additional sites will be participating in the health information exchange, in addition to the original 5 sites included in the pilot program. The VLER project is an initiative to improve continuity of care for American service men and women, with an expected 50,000 VA patients participating by the end of the year.
