Hospital Records Going Mobile

Hospitals are making use of mobile technology such as smartphones and tablets to allow providers access to hospital electronic medical records.  System-wide integration of such hardware offers physicians and other providers the opportunity to engage with patient care from outside the hospital environment.  Balancing the ease of access with privacy and security concerns will be a continuing issue, but increased adoption of mobile technology in healthcare is expected.
