EHR Association Supports ONC Initiative To Engage Consumers

The Health Information and Management Systems Society Electronic Health Record Association (HIMSS EHR Association) came out in support of the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) efforts to engage consumers in managing their health conditions through use of innovations in Health IT.  The slogan, "putting the 'I' in Health IT" represents the role such consumer groups will play in encouraging improved patient education, engagement and self-management of their health care.
